Turn: Washington’s Spies season 4: First details on final season!

Turn: Washington's Spies

Are you ready for what lies ahead on Turn: Washington’s Spies season 4? If so, there are further details on the final chapter ahead!

On Saturday, June 17 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern (a.k.a. the old Hell on Wheels timeslot, or the one previously occupied by The Son following its conclusion), AMC will kick off its Revolutionary War drama once more as we see more of how the earliest generation of American spies work in order to ensure that their side wins, and that the likes of Benedict Arnold and those close to him suffer. This is a show that will continue to focus on a certain degree of history, but there’s also a recognition and a cognizance that there is more at play: Understanding the people, and the subtleties behind many of their moves. It’s what makes this show stand out in the sea of other historical series that do air across the TV landscape these days.

If you want to know a little bit more in terms of finer details about the season as a whole, take a look at the official AMC synopsis below:

“The ten-episode final season opens with notorious traitor Benedict Arnold (Owain Yeoman) taking his revenge on George Washington (Ian Kahn) by rounding up suspected rebel spies to impress his new British commanders. Meanwhile, Abe Woodhull and the other members of the Culper Ring escape Arnold’s clutches and unintended consequences compel Abe to seek revenge. For his side to prevail, he must forsake his bloodlust and turn his attention toward the one thing that truly matters: winning the war.”

The first promo for the season below effectively sets the table for the final season, displaying an array of a few different exciting things: Violence, intrigue, and an amazing since of visual style. When you consider the subject matter it’s probably incorrect to label the show as “fun,” but there is a sort of adventurous spirit to it that makes the show a little more addictive than many other historical series of its kind.

Even though this is the final season, here’s to hoping that viewers find the show on Saturdays and continue to tune in. After all, this is a show that deserves to end its run on a high note.
