Preacher season 2: Dominic Cooper, Seth Rogen, and a new tease
In the video below, series stars Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negga — coupled with directors / executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg — do a mighty fine job of taking you deep behind the scenes at the his show’s production, and some of the pure insanity that they are getting set to put on the screen over the coming months. One of the words used in this preview is strictly “insanity” — there is a lot of darkness with this show, but there’s also humor and a little bit of a sense that almost anything can happen. This is something that Rogen and Goldberg want to see reflected on the show this coming season just as much as the first time around.
While this video doesn’t really exist for the sake of giving much away in terms of the story, you do get to see some breakneck action sequences plus a few moments of comedy — seeing a man dressed as a Dalmatian is almost sure to make many people out there laugh.
Beyond all of this, you do also get some footage of the show in New Orleans, which is going to be both fantastic visually and also a nice change from everything that was in the first season of the show. You are going from the world of a tiny town in West Texas to a place where things are certainly far more different. Seeing these characters interact in this place should be thrilling to comic and non-comic fans alike, as Preacher explores more of who he is now while navigating some of the relationship in his life.
Preacher season 2 is going to be a Molotov cocktail of drama, violence, and shocking moments, and it’s fairly easy to assume that many of its fans would want nothing less from it in the end. This is a big part of what ultimately makes the season stand out.
