Silicon Valley season 4 episode 5 spoilers: Gavin’s ‘blood transfusion’

Silicon Valley season 4 episode 5

Silicon Valley season 4 episode 5 on Sunday night is going to provide a further example of the show’s main method of operation. The writers want to be able to effectively capture the world of tech empires in the region, but also heighten things in a way that is ridiculous and worthy of a laugh per second. Having Gavin Belson receive blood transfusions from fit people to make himself feel better is pretty perfectly in line with this strategy. It would probably never happen in real life, but it ultimately doesn’t matter because it’s hilarious and worthy of a few laughs every second.

When you first see this moment play out in the video below, it may seem fairly easy to just write it off as a little bit of random Silicon Valley silliness. Then, you learn that the episode coming up is entitled “The Blood Boy.” All of a sudden, it may be a little bit more serious than you would ever think.

Silicon Valley season 4 episode 5 synopsis – “Cracks in Richard’s (Thomas Middleditch) latest partnership become more apparent when he’s forced to deal with an unexpected interloper. As things get more serious, Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) scrambles to find a way out of his new relationship. After learning of surprising developments afoot at Raviga, Monica (Amanda Crew) has trouble deciding which horse to back.”

When it comes to Dinesh, seeing him get out of this bind is probably going to be a nearly-impossible situation given that you’re looking at a situation here where if he gets out of said relationship, there’s a good chance that this girlfriend, a prominent hacker, will completely wreck his life. This is the time when “letting someone down easy” is more than just imperative. It could very well be life-changing if he wants to have something that even remotely constitutes a future.

As for Monica, Erlich has some advice for her bind in the preview, as she struggles to figure out where she stands at the moment at Raviga. With that being said, she doesn’t exactly remember giving Erlich the advice that he is “parroting” back … probably because she never did and it’s nonsense.
