Reign season 4 episode 14 return date: Mary, Elizabeth, and a culmination
The next new episode of the series is going to be airing on Friday, June 2, and this will be the first of the final three episodes of the show on The CW. This means, effectively, that this could be the beginning of the end for Mary’s story. She started the series in a very different place and with a very different mindset. Now, she has to somehow prepare for everything she’s been plotting and planning to come home to roost. There are going to be violent moments, heartfelt discussions, and in the end, hopefully something that sets the stage for what Mary’s final legacy will be.

One of the tricky things that the show may run into when it comes to trying to wrap things up is doing a way to show how much Mary mattered without also getting somewhat preachy or moralistic in the process. It’s a difficult thing with all history; one side always wins, and it’s hard to tell the narrative without doing so from the perspective of either the winner or the loser. Neither is always accurate, and the answer often falls somewhere in between.
No matter what, the big thing to be excited about here with this show is that there’s a chance to see the stories wind down for not just Mary, but for all characters. While this is her story, the writers have done a good job of making sure that even more people are represented beyond just her … and that’s very much a good thing.
