CBS Fall 2017 Schedule: Criminal Minds season 13, NCIS: Los Angeles move
Want to compare this to some of the other network schedules already announced? Then be sure to check out the link here to view ABC, NBC, and Fox’s plans for the fall! (The CW will be releasing theirs later this week.) All times within this article are Eastern, so adjust accordingly.
One other thing to remember is that for the first few weeks of the season, CBS will be airing Thursday Night Football. With that, their Monday schedule varies both before and after football is going on.
Monday (during Thursday Night Football season)
8:00 – The Big Bang Theory
8:30 – 9JKL (new comedy)
9:00 – Kevin Can Wait
9:30 – Me, Myself & I (new comedy)
10:00 – Scorpion
Nothing surprising here. CBS is using two of their “anchor comedies” in order to launch new shows. Smart, as the network often is.
Monday (after Thursday Night Football)
8:00 – Kevin Can Wait
8:30 – 9JKL
9:00 – Me, Myself & I
9:30 – Superior Donuts
10:00 – Scorpion
The only risk here is that CBS seems okay with using a new show in Me, Myself & I as an anchor for an hour, without even knowing how it is going to do. Let’s see how that pans out.
Tuesday
8:00 – NCIS
9:00 – Bull
10:00 – NCIS: New Orleans
No change here, not that there needed to be one.
Wednesday
8:00 – Survivor
9:00 – SEAL Team (new series)
10:00 – Criminal Minds (new time)
Moving Criminal Minds back an hour is a pretty big deal for the long-running show. This is a sign both its current ratings and also the faith CBS has in SEAL Team, starring David Boreanaz following his time on Bones, becoming a big hit.
Thursday (after football)
8:00 – The Big Bang Theory
8:30 – Young Sheldon
9:00 – Mom
9:30 – Life in Pieces
10:00 – SWAT
The Sheldon prequel airing after The Big Bang Theory is the worst-kept secret out there. Hearts go out to Shemar Moore already trying to make SWAT into a hit show in this super-tough timeslot.
Fridays
8:00 – MacGyver
9:00 – Hawaii Five-0
10:00 – Blue Bloods
No change here from fall 2016.
Sundays
8:00 – Wisdom of the Crowd (new show)
9:00 – NCIS: Los Angeles (new time)
10:00 – Madam Secretary (new time)
Expect a ton of Madam Secretary preemptions this coming season. Also, CBS clearly has a lot of faith in Wisdom of the Crowd, a show with a pretty terrible title, airing after NFL football.

NCIS LA is my favorite NCIS show. I don’t like the Sunday night slot because it is always getting pushed back due to Sunday afternoon sporting events pushing it off schedule. I would like to see it during the week. No other issues with the schedule.

I am annoyed they are moving NCIS LA, it was doing well in the time slot. It will be following a new, unproven show and CBS does not have a good track record with new dramas this season.
