The Flash season 3: Is Candice Patton leaving after Iris shocker?
Here is what is known for now: The Speed Force Bazooka failed, and instead, it only further empowered Savitar to do the one final thing to turn him into a god: Killing Iris West, and fulfilling the prophecy set out earlier this season. Despite everything that happened, there was no way to turn things around.
Is there still hope now? This is The Flash, so it’s hard to rule anything out. This is a show where so many characters have been revived, and there is such a heavy time-travel component. The problem is that time is tricky, and Savitar knows everything that Barry does. This complicates every little move he makes from here on out.
As for Candice Patton, she’s been with the show since season 1 and she plays one of the most beloved characters on the show. Barry and Iris are such an important couple to so many people; they represent hope, unconditional love, and virtually anything and everything in between. The show’s aware of that, and if Patton was ever leaving, it’s hard to imagine it happening in such a somber way. It would be more positive, and a celebration of the character. This can’t be it, though this may also be denial that is saying this in part since the character is such a fantastic part of the show.
Ultimately, all answers will be revealed next week when the finale airs — there is a promo for that online over here — but it doesn’t exactly give a heck of a lot away at the moment in terms of what is coming up. The biggest thing to do here is hold onto hope, and believe that one way or another, these characters are going to move forward and find some happiness on the other side. Luckily, these are characters who know the value of hope and understand that never giving up is essential to the success of the mission.

Sadly the Iris death is tragic and we will wait and see how it plays out. I mean, they have access so to many ways of fooling Savitar from HR tech to shape shifting aliens. My question is more Caitlin. I mean being cold doesn’t make you evil and yet here it seems to. Is she beyond redemption and sadly being a huge Killer Frost fan… do we want her cured of her powers?

It is my belief that H.R. transformed into Iris and swapped places with her while Barry was firing the “Bazooka” at Savitar. It is obvious during his final words with Sisko that Wells was planning something. Since he blamed himself for Savitar finding Iris, to him, it would be a fitting end if he came to the rescue and ultimately saved her.

It wouldn’t surprise me. Iris=HR and HR=Iris.
But still…was crying ugly tears when Iris recorded herself reciting her vows and to watch the back drop of Iris’ death…good god that was painful to sit through.

That couldn’t be so – Savitar took Iris after HR told him where she was being kept. They could’ve done a switch prior to that moment in an attempt to fool Savitar but it doesn’t appear to be true.
