Big Brother Canada 5 live feed spoilers: Surprise visits; state of the fandom

Surprise visits

Let’s start this Big Brother Canada 5 live feed update with some positive news before starting to descend more into darkness.

There were some surprise visits in the house today! We know that season 3 winner Sarah Hanlon (who is currently doing stuff for ET Canada) is currently in the house, and the same can be said for the likes of Dillon’s mother and Kevin’s mom. We do like these moments as someone whose favorite moment in the show’s history may be the freeze task from season 1 where Andrew’s brother came in while he was unable to say anything.

As a reward for whatever happened earlier, the houseguests received some Chinese food and a part tonight where they’ve been able to relax a little. Dillon seems aware now that he’s going home, and so does Kevin — which does frustrate him greatly since Karen is seemingly sabotaging her own game. He does think that the remaining players were going to keep Demetres now matter what, so he doesn’t seem that upset about missing a chance to get rid of someone in Ika who hasn’t won a single competition for the entire season so far.

Still, Kevin made a bad mood not nominating Karen instead of Dillon — we love Kev, but that was a big blunder.

Can we all get along? – Seriously, is that possible? The fandom started off this season so well and in such good spirits, but since that time we’ve started to see it get progressively nasty on social media. Why do that? Why attack players / their loved ones just because their view of things differs from yours?

The most important thing this season is that we’ve got three people like in Ika, Demetres, and Kevin who are all reasonably good players (if not great players) and worthy winners. Even Karen is good entertainment, even if she’s not the best player. This is one of the more memorable final fives in the history of the Canadian show. With Dillon gone, this may be one of the best final fours that we’ve seen. The only one that to is comparable is season 1, where you had a mixture of good players and big characters.
