The Simpsons spoofs Big Bang Theory theme song for 30th anniversary
In the video below, you can see The Simpsons effectively cycle through thirty years of history in the span of an extremely short time. It’s a nice little reminder of where the show came from, and then also that it’s not exactly over just yet. We anticipate a lot of different moments like this as The Simpsons gets closer to its own milestone 30th season. Right now, we’re getting close to the end of season 28.
We know that there are already so many different articles out there about the longevity of the show and the various reasons why it’s happened, but we do think that in this instance, you can really boil down one of the reasons why it’s happened to something relatively simple — it’s a show that just brings people together and brings a smile to their face. You can miss a few episodes, but if you’re bored on a Sunday night you can sit down and watch an episode of the show. It’s not the edgiest show on TV and it’s probably not the funniest, but it’s consistently enjoyable and it’s such an inspiration to so many comedy creators and animators out there.
We know that there are so many people out there who constantly speculate at this point as to how long the show could last for, but we don’t want to just come on here and solely focus on that. For the sake of this article, let’s just celebrate the fact that the show is on the air in the first place. It’s something worthy of celebration, and they deserve the opportunity to take a little bit of a victory lap.
This video interestingly does come out following one of the more controversial ones done by The Simpsons over the years. If you head over here, you can see a new video that features President Trump’s first 100 days being mocked in a very dark manner, one that includes Press Secretary Sean Spicer hanging himself and Ivanka Trump being named to the Supreme Court.
