Who wants a little bit of early The Walking Dead season 8 casting news? While we don’t know any new actors, we’re getting a sense of new characters.
According to a new report coming in now via TVLine, the AMC series is in the process of casting some of the following people to help inhabit their world as we move into the future.
Dillon – He’s a guy in his twenties who is well-equipped for the zombie apocalypse, comes via a blue-collar background, and is certainly handsome.
Abbud – A Muslim American, someone who has spent a good bit of time away from society and from other people. As a result of that, you can to imagine that there are some social issues that he will need to work through in the event he ends up becoming a part of this world moving forward.
Ultimately with these roles, it looks like the show is going to consider doing something that is very similar to many of the other characters they’ve brought on in the past — there’s a chance that the could end up becoming an even larger part of the series, depending on what the writers think of the actor and their performance in the end. If you are someone who really has an interest in being a part of this world, this more than likely has to be music to your ears.
New episodes of The Walking Dead are currently slated to air this fall on AMC, but one of the things that you really have to watch out for at this point are potential ramifications for a writers strike if one happens. This is the sort of thing that could stop production in its track for a good while, and given when this show is filming, it could impact this show more so than many others. (For the time being, we’re continuing to report with the hopes that everyone is able to work a deal out — if they do so before too early in the process, it will help to ensure that there aren’t too many changes to any production out there.)
