Last week, Freeform’s Shadowhunters did something that caused many fans to celebrate as they officially renewed the show for a third season. Now, they are getting set to do something else that is certainly rather awesome: Offering us finally an opportunity to see Will Tudor as Sebastian!
In a post on Twitter, the show’s official account confirmed that at 7:45 p.m. Eastern time or 4:45 p.m. Pacific, you would have an opportunity to get a new look at Tudor in the role. His arrival to the series is incredibly significant, given that the character is essential and important to the source material and we also know that the first half of the season did a rather fantastic job at setting up the story to come. We are now at a point where this character is going to be essential to telling everything else ahead, and we absolutely think that the timing on this reveal is deliberate. In choosing to make this unveiling right now, what the series is effectively doing is giving you an opportunity to have a steady stream of news between now and the show’s return in June. They’ve announced the renewal, they’re giving you more of this character, and in the weeks to come, we’re crossing our fingers that some sort of official trailer does happen to come out.
Beyond all of that, we would argue that the biggest thing that we’re going to have is just sheer anticipation. No matter what Freeform does, it’s not going to lessen the hunger for further new episodes of the series.
Be sure to refresh this page at around the aforementioned time, since that is when we’re going to add an additional update on the character.
Update: Here we were, thinking that we were just going to get a new photo. Instead, Freeform has just released a new teaser! Take a look at it below…
