Hawaii Five-0 season 7 episode 22 sneak peek: What’s ahead for McGarrett, Kono

Hawaii Five-0 season 7 episode 22 sneak peek

In the first Hawaii Five-0 season 7 episode 22 sneak peek below, we’ve got a pretty good sense of what the main case is going to be.

This story inside “Waimaka ‘Ele’ele” (“Black Tears”) is going to be challenging, mostly because McGarrett and the rest of the Five-0 squad will do their best to uncover the truth behind what happened to one of the last survivors of the USS Arizona. The further they go along into this case, the more that they will discover that there are serious military connections at the heart of it. What the responsible parties want here remains to be seen, but given the connections to Pearl Harbor at the heart of this story, many indications suggest that this case is going to be emotional.

Not only that, but CBS is already teasing that over the course of this episode, Steve will learn more about his grandfather’s role at Pearl Harbor and a few more details that he was not aware of previously. For Alex O’Loughlin, this should amount to some powerful, meaty material.

As for the rest of the episode, let’s just say to expect at least one extremely dangerous standoff before the end of the episode.

Kono and Adam’s story

Meanwhile, Adam’s return this episode is going to start off in a sweet place, as he and his wife are going to be enjoying a little time together during a lunch break. Adam is working construction, and while he makes it clear that this is not something that he ever imagined himself doing, he enjoys it. Therefore, there’s no real reason for him to want to do anything else.

However, we do know that Adam is going to get a little more involved with a case behind the scenes in this episode than this sneak peek would suggest. Specifically, he will be calling in a favor from Jerry as he does his part in order to help investigate some bone fragments that he finds while out on the job. Given that Jerry now has a badge, he may be able to help more than he could previously. With that being said, though, is doing a secret investigation with Adam the right way to start off in terms of having said badge? It’s certainly a good question.
