Want to know the premiere dates for Suits season 7 or Shooter season 2? USA was kind enough to confirm some of these earlier this morning. One of the biggest takeaways that we have from this is that while some broadcast networks seem to be doing their part to rely on unscripted far in the summer, USA seems to be doubling down further on scripted fare. As a lover of great storytelling, this excites us.
Before you check out some of the summer dates, a quick reminder that Mr. Robot season 3 is not premiering on USA until the fall; that’s why it is not included here. It may be in production right now, but this is one of those shows that needs some time given to breathe in between seasons.
All times listed are Eastern, so adjust accordingly depending on where you live. For more, as a reminder you can visit our official premiere guide.
Thursday, June 8
10:00 – Queen of the South
Friday, June 23
11:00 – Playing House
(Quick Note: The following day, you’ll have a chance to check out the entire season on-demand — that should help to compensate for what is effectively a horrible timeslot.)
Wednesday, July 12
9:00 – Suits
Tuesday, July 18
10:00 – Shooter
(Another quick note: For those wondering why we’re getting a season 2 so soon after season 1, the first season was originally supposed to premiere in the summer but was delayed because of some real-life violence.)
Wednesday, August 2
10:00 – The Sinner (new series, featuring the return of Jessica Biel to TV)
All in all, a pretty strong lineup for USA even without Mr. Robot, and it’s far from the only programming that they have. Remember that they also recently renewed Falling Water, and that should premiere later this year. There is also the Suits spin-off in development now starring Gina Torres, but there’s no word on potential premiere dates for that as of yet.
