Once Upon a Time season 6 episode 17 promo: Snow, Charming, ‘Awake’
One of the biggest things that you do have to remember is some of the buzz that is already out there around this episode. We’ve heard in the past that Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas are going to be at the center of the hour; not only that, but that there could be opportunities to see the joyous Snowing reunion so many people have been looking forward to. With a title like “Awake,” that really tells you everything that you need to know. For most of the past cluster of episodes, the two parties have been separated by a new sort of sleeping curse, one that renders them incapable of being awake and around each other at the same time. It’s a pretty depressing set of circumstances that they’re faced with, but one of the things that we have learned over time about these two is that they’re pretty good when faced with extreme amounts of adversity. They’ve kept a positive attitude through it all, and kept their hope alive that eventually they would find their way back to each other.
Unfortunately, it may be hard to watch this episode with the elephant in the room that it seems as though Dallas and Goodwin are leaving the show at the conclusion of this season. We still haven’t heard any discussion about the two negotiating new deals, and the rumors have been going overtime on this for a while. If season 6 is the final season for the two parties, you really just have to hope that the writers come up with a brilliant way to tie together their story that is both meaningful and explains a potential absence.
Promo – This lays out exactly what the stakes here are. Charming and Snow have a chance to change history and stop everything by venturing into their past. Hey, everyone else is doing time travel these days — why not go ahead and allow this show to join them?
