Is Alec Baldwin appearing on Saturday Night Live this weekend? It’s a question that everyone out there understandably wants to know, and the good news is that signs point to yes — even in the midst of a book tour that’s taking him all over the country.
For a source, you don’t have to look any further than Alec’s brother Billy, who posted the image below on Twitter to go along with a reminder that there is plenty of material for him to work with as Donald Trump. We know that Baldwin will continue to play Donald Trump for the remainder of the season, and beyond that, the future is still unclear. We just know that Baldwin’s going to be in demand for as long as he does want to take on the part.
Also worth noting is that Baldwin’s next book tour stop is in Brooklyn, and he doesn’t have one scheduled for today. Therefore, it seems like he’s going to be in the area.
As for the rest of the show, Louis CK will probably be bringing some of his own material to the show. We know that he is one of the funniest comedians working, and while he’s not the most political guy in the world, he can go there when he wants to get there. We’ve seen that already a few times over the past few months. Therefore, it’s something that we expect that we’re going to get even more of tonight … to go along with a lot of other funny stuff.
For some reason, the first part of the new promo below made us really laugh out loud, especially when Louis lies about loving the Chainsmokers (who are performing tonight) before admitting the truth. Hilariously, the band responds that they really don’t need him, and they play along very well. This is one of the better promos out there — just the sheer presence of Kate McKinnon in a promo is enough to bring it to the next level and make it immensely enjoyable.
This show is going to be followed up next week by hopefully a great outing hosted by former cast member / Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon with Harry Styles. While he’s made cameos here and there, it’s been a couple of seasons since Jimmy actually hosted. It should make a good tonight.
