The Blacklist season 4 spoilers: How Reddington, Liz react to new danger
We do think that there is more to this story, but we are likely going to have to wait until the two episodes air on April 20 in order to find out fully. For now, we want to tackle another important question: How Liz Keen is handling the crisis that is going on around her, including how James Spader’s character choosing to go about his business. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Jon Bokenkamp had the following to say:
“Liz is really struggling with the way that Reddington is handling this rift that is within empire … Red has been taking hits and he’s lost key allies, and as he handles that, we see things flare up that, oddly in a way, bring Liz and Red closer through how he handles these problems that he’s being faced with. So their weird tethered-together dynamic is something that’s still in flux, but she is definitely struggling with the way that Red is choosing to fight this war.”
There is a great deal to be excited about here with this story, largely because of the notion that a conflicted Liz is the best Liz. Now that she is back with the FBI Task Force, she has to reconcile doing the job as defined by the law with her relationship with Reddington. She’s far more like him than she’s like to admit, and she doesn’t always color inside the lines. Despite his history there is a great deal of care there, so his suffering is not something that she will be able to ignore in any way. She’ll feel it.
Meanwhile, let us know in the comments how you want to see the relationship between Reddington and Liz evolve. (Photo: NBC.)

I love the blacklist. The story between Red and
Lizzy is why I watch. I’m glad to learn that in up coming espidoes their relationship will be strengthened. I hope the closeness will last. Red needs someone on his side right now. Little Agnes needs to be around her grandfather.
