Arrow season 5 episode 19 is entitled “Dangerous Liaisons,” and judging from some of the first details that were released by The CW, this episode looks like it’s going to be intense, action-packed, and thoroughly entertaining. Fingers crossed that this story manages to live up to many of the expectations that are out there given how awesome the big Adrian Chase reveal was at the end of this past episode.
Today, the network officially dropped quite a few details regarding what’s coming up, especially when it comes to how far Team Arrow is going to go to stop Adrian once and for all. Take a look at the synopsis below:
“Oliver (Stephen Amell), Team Arrow, ARGUS and the SCPD kick off a citywide manhunt for Adrian Chase (Josh Segurra). Helix tells Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) they have a way to find Chase but they will need something big, and illegal, from her in return.”
This absolutely does give you a good sense as to the all-hands-on-deck sort of strategy that Star City is going to take on for Adrian Chase. This is a little bit different than what we’ve seen in the past. Oliver doesn’t have to worry about the spotlight being solely on the Green Arrow anymore; unfortunately, it’s too bad that Adrian is probably well aware at the moment that he is going to have a target on his back. He’s excellent at being ahead of the plan, and he’s probably going to spend every second of every day being prepared for what could be coming up for him.
As for the Felicity story, the one thing that we should say is that we’re not altogether shocked at all that she finds herself in this position. She’s put herself all-in with the Helix operation, and there have been some major benefits that have come along with that. However, at the same time in making this move she’s put her future at risk. Like all things in life, problems eventually come home to roost. This is happening here, and you just have to hope that she and the rest of the team is prepared for it.
