Billions season 2 episode 8 spoilers: ‘The Kingmaker’

Moving into Billions season 2 episode 8, it makes sense to put a great deal of stock into the episode’s title of “The Kingmaker.” We’re going to get an opportunity to see in this episode a chance for a further power struggle, and for one person to be the most important cog in the world. That title suggests that one person could make or break things for either Chuck Rhoades or Bobby Axelrod; or, maybe one of them is the kingmaker themselves, and they are the metaphorical straw that stirs the drink. Both situations are possible, and therefore both are things that you should look at with a certain degree of importance.

Now, we move forward to sharing a few more details regarding what you can expect to see on the story ahead.

Billions season 2 episode 8 synopsis – “Axe faces opposition investigating Sandicot; Chuck digs up dirt on a rival.”

In true Showtime fashion, you’re not getting much — that will change a little later when the promo is released, but we can probably summarize the story just by saying that Chuck and Axe will likely continue to circle each other like sharks. Who knows? Maybe somewhere along the way, they’ll have a chance to interact for a moment or two. A big part of the beauty of this show is that the characters actually don’t spend a whole lot of time in one another’s orbit, but somehow we still end up getting a chance to see the tension build between them. They possess that rare ability to greatly impact each other from afar.

Promo – This should look reasonably familiar to you — things turning personal, and Axe promising up full destruction of his opponents. It appears as though Chuck’s political crusade is going to be continuing, and he certainly is picking an interesting time for it. He knows that he has a rival out there who would love nothing more than his destruction, and yet he is continuing to move forward on a path that could end up with him getting an even higher profile. Interesting move, to say the least.
