NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 episode 19 sneak peek: Sam’s explosive case
In this sneak peek, the two guys arrive to what is basically a completely-destroyed RV. This is not the sort of crime scene that it’s easy to take clues away from! There’s a dead body, but more than that there’s enough evidence that whoever wanted him dead really wanted to ensure the job was done. There were heavy explosives, and some material that’s typically only found on film and television sets.
(With this said, does anyone else find it rather meta whenever Sam and Callen reference something like a TV set when they’re characters on a TV show?)
The investigation on the ground should be rather interesting in this episode, but we anticipate things being equally so when we do see the characters eventually take to the skies. After all, this is going to be an episode that features an investigation on an airplane, and it could be one of the more intense, high-octane hours of the season because of that.
One of the other ways that this season could work so well is because you’re going to be getting somewhat of a return to the show’s roots. We’ve certainly seem a good bit of Sam and Callen on the show over time, but they haven’t necessarily done that much together in the field as of late. They’ve worked a lot apart, and last week was a little bit more about Nell and Eric taking center stage on the mission while Kensi and Deeks served as their backup. We do like the couples out fighting crime together, but there is something still compelling about getting these two guys out there doing what they do best.
