Arrow season 5 episode 18 promo: Felicity’s revelation; Bratva’s support

Arrow season 5 episode 18

Isn’t it nice to see the past and present worlds colliding leading into Arrow season 5 episode 18? It’s nice to see some genuine connective tissue between the flashbacks and the present-day story, given that this is something that’s been flimsy at best ever since season 2. Things with the Bratva are becoming more and more important over time, especially as we learn about Prometheus and what he means both for Oliver and for everyone in Star City.

Moving into next week’s episode called “Disbanded,” we may see a case for the first time of Oliver trying to bring the Bratva over rather than him paying a visit to them overseas. He realizes that Prometheus is a little bit of a one-man army (though he does have help from Talia from time to time), and he needs all of the help that he can get. Oh, and you’re also going to get big moments for both Diggle and Felicity. We know that there are many people out there who’ve been calling for more Original Team Arrow action, and you’re going to get plenty of that in this episode.

Arrow season 5 episode 18 synopsis – “Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are shocked by Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) decision to call on the Bratva to help take down Prometheus (Josh Segurra). Concerned the Bratva may overstep, Diggle has a hard conversation with Oliver about what happens if things go south. Meanwhile, Felicity learns something shocking at Helix.”

We know that the further that Felicity stays at Helix, the worse off things are going to get for her. However, she may also realize the longer that she’s there just how hard it is to get out of complicated and morally-conflicted situations when you’re in so deep. If there was ever a way for her to be able to relate more to Oliver and everything that he’s gone through, this is probably going to be it. He does still also need to show some empathy for her and her own experience — the lack of this on both sides is one of the reasons why the relationship failed to work the first time.

Promo – In this latest clip, we basically get a reflection of everything that we’ve already spoken about. It’s crazy, but that’s what this season is so far. Will Oliver actually quit for good? Time will tell.
