Hawaii Five-0 season 7 spoilers: Lori Petty of Orange Is the New Black to appear
As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, the Orange is the New Black actress is going to be gracing the CBS crime series as Jenny Kitson, a woman is going to prove herself to be rather invaluable to the entire Five-0 team. She is a nurse who’s spent the better part of the past six years caring for a mysterious John Doe in a coma, but she becomes involved in a major case for Danny when he learns that this person is actually a key witness who could help him resolve his final case before he joined the Five-0 team. We’ve heard often that this is a season largely about legacy, so it would be a great way for Danny’s legacy to be further cemented by taking care of this matter and better ensuring that this man is safe from someone who come be coming after her. Petty’s character could be integral in helping with that.
Petty is joining a rather-robust guest lineup for this show, given that we’ve seen everyone from Darius Rucker to Max Weinberg to Missy Peregrym appear on this season already. We know that Julie Benz is going to be returning for the finale as Abby, and we’ve also seen Michelle Borth already appear as the former series-regular character Catherine Rollins. Hawaii Five-0 is a show that does a great job of getting people from all walks of life to appear — we have to think that it helps being able to say that potential cast stars can come out to Hawaii and have a little bit of a vacation while they also work on a great show. Who wouldn’t be down for that sort of one-two punch?
Unfortunately, we’re going to be waiting for a little while now before we see anything from Hawaii Five-0 season 7 in general. There is no new episode airing on CBS Friday night, and there won’t be until we roll around to March 31. For the most part, you can blame the March Madness lineup on the network for that. Rest assured, though, that we’ll do our best to hand down some further coverage along the way over here.
