Big Brother Canada 5 spoilers: When do live feeds start?

Tonight marks the Big Brother Canada 5 premiere, so get ready for an exciting night of reality TV! You’re going to have this show starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern following the latest episode of Survivor: Game Changers, and for the first time ever there will be some returning players entering the mix.

As for what you can expect tonight, the biggest thing we can say is an introduction to both the new and returning players, a look at the “odyssey” themed house (basically it feels like a giant spaceship), and an early look at some of the gameplay. There’s a good bit that’s going to be wedged into a short period of time, and we figure that we’ll miss almost immediately the early-game feeling from Big Brother OTT where we actually got to see everyone meet each other for the first time in the house. (For the record, that may be one of the only things we miss about Big Brother OTT since so much of negativity around the season really detonated our enjoyment of it.)

Let’s get back to the question in the title: When do the live feeds start? All indications point to Thursday night, following the second episode of the show airing. Big Brother Canada likes to do an eviction on the second day, which means that you will probably see someone leave without being on the feeds at all. The reason that you don’t get feeds tonight is that it would spoil the results of what happens on the show tomorrow.

Remember here that, in general, the Canadian show is a little more stingy on the live-feed spoilers, and we get that just because you’re not paying for them. We still contend that if they were to charge people for feeds and make them available for American viewers, they could both show more of them and get a whole lot more attention from U.S. viewers. Alas, there are probably all sorts of international rights and licensing issues there that we’re not equipped to discuss.
