Star finale spoilers (promo): The quest for the next step

We’ve got some of the first Star finale spoilers for you today, and based on some of the latest news that we’ve uncovered, it certainly feels as though we’re going to see things end with either great success or great failure. Atlanta NextFest is going to be at the center of the story. It’s one of the biggest stages for the group just yet, and it’s a chance to easily skyrocket their career to the next level. Unfortunately, this is also the sort of place where if things go awry, you are going to be left in a position where the dream ends and you don’t get a chance to come back.

Of course, this is Star, so don’t expect this performance to be the only thing going on in the house. Characters are going to be making big decisions when it comes to relationships, and we’re going to potentially see some fences be mended.

Synopsis – “Star is troubled as she deals with the aftermath of Hunter’s actions, while Derek and Alex struggle to make an important decision about their future. With Atlanta NextFest quickly approaching, the girls are putting the finishing touches on their routine. Will it be enough or will this be the end of their musical dream? Carlotta is determined to mend broken relationships, while Jahil tries to get back in the good graces of the girls.”

Do we think that there is a good chance the series ends with a cliffhanger? Absolutely so. This is a Lee Daniels show, and they are the sort that embrace drama at almost every turn. They won’t shy away from telling a risky story. At the time that the finale was written, we don’t know how confident anyone was in the show’s season 2 renewal odds. We do still think that they swung for the fences, though, just because this couldn’t be a story that was told in a single episode. You need time for these characters to breathe, and to get us all the way from point A to point B.
