Jane the Virgin season 3, episode 14 preview: Jane versus Petra

Jane the Virgin season 3, episode 14 -

Alas, Jane the Virgin season 3, episode 14 was not on The CW tonight, with the biggest reason for that being as simple as it taking a break. The show doesn’t exactly sync itself up directly with Supergirl beforehand, and that may just be because the two are very different shows.

When the show does return, it’ll be doing so on Monday, March 20, and the advantage that comes with taking that sort of break is that it may mean that it can run new episodes for almost the entirety of the season the rest of the way. This episode does look particularly funny just in terms of the battles that will be taking place, especially when it comes to how far Jane is going to go in order to get the title of Room Mom over Petra. The promo below even sends us into mock debate territory!

Synopsis – “Jane (Gina Rodriguez) feels guilty that she isn’t around for Mateo as much as she would like, so she decides to run for Room Mom against none other than perfect mom, Petra (Yael Grobglas). With the help of Jane and Xo (Andrea Navedo), Alba (Ivonne Coll) tries to impress her crush, but it doesn’t go as smoothly as planned. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) tries to be there for both Jane and Petra. Meanwhile, Rogelio (Jaime Camil) tries to slyly get information from Mateo about Xo and Bruce’s (guest star Ricardo Chavira) relationship.”

There’s clearly quite a bit that will be going on over the course of the episode, but the one person we probably feel for the most going into it is Rafael given just how much he’ll be trying to juggle. The Rogelio stuff in particular sounds hilarious, mostly because any position that you put Jaime Camil in like this is probably going to lead to some glorious results.

In the end, waiting is still really tough when you know what’s coming up. The good news is that at least The CW already renewed the show, so there’s nothing to worry about in terms of these episodes being the final ones for the show. The show dealt with tragedy earlier this season with Michael; we still miss him, but we’re getting to the point where we can start to see the light on the other side and feel happy and excited for what’s coming up again.
