Bull episode 16 preview: The Liberty Davis face-off
Through most of the series so far, the capacity that we’ve seen Liberty in is as some sort of valuable asset to Dr. Jason Bull. She’s been able to help him with matters pertaining to his cases, and she’s even recommended his services for others. However, before “Free Fall,” we hadn’t quite experienced what it would be like for Michael Weatherly’s character to work against her. This is going to be happening coming up, and it feels fair to say that the end result of this is going to be pretty chaotic.
As you can see in the preview below, Bull and Liberty will be going toe-to-toe, and because she’s spent so much time around him, she’s been able to absorb a large amount of that information like a sponge. She’s got this superb ability to understand much of what is going on in terms of his juror-manipulation, and can use that for her own game.
If one of the things that you are really looking for on Bull is a game of legal chess, this could be the episode for you. This is a part of the appeal for us, just as it is any time that we have a chance to see Jason square off against someone who is an intellectual equal. Even if part of the appeal of the show is that he’s incredibly good at his job and capable of getting people off with “not guilty” verdicts the vast majority of the time, you also don’t want him to be in a position where the cases are easy. Don’t you like a challenge?
