NCIS: New Orleans season 3, episode 16: Scott Bakula’s wife Chelsea Field guest stars

Scott Bakula’s been the star of NCIS: New Orleans since the very beginning, but next week, his wife Chelsea Field will be joining him!

CBS confirmed recently that Field will be appearing on the next new episode of the CBS drama entitled “The Last Stand” airing in just one week’s time, and it makes some sense that she play a part of a longtime close confident of Pride. Take a look at the synopsis below for some further information regarding what to expect:

“Pride’s longtime friend, state and military attorney Rita Devereaux (Chelsea Field), asks NCIS to investigate the disappearance of a JAG lawyer who specializes in classified cases and volunteers at a private military academy.”

As you can see, there isn’t really too much in the way of news to hand down on this episode beyond Field’s appearance, but that is enough to have us at the very least intrigued in what could be coming in the episode between her and Bakula. It’s a chance to basically see the NCIS team take on a little bit of a different case, but one that does at the same time still have ties to the work that they do helping veterans and the families of the fallen.

There is of course also a nice full-circle feeling that comes with this synopsis when you remember the fact that JAG was the show that effectively started it all so many years ago, and without it, there would be no NCIS franchise at all. (Here’s a fun little bit of trivia for you: If you think back to when JAG first began, this franchise has now exited for 22 years! There are likely many viewers out there for these shows who are adults, and weren’t even alive at the time the original show was conceived.
