Showtime puts Homeland season 6, episode 6 online early thanks to Oscars

Homeland -

If you are particular eager to watch Homeland season 6, episode 6 online a little early, we’re here with news that will certainly be music to your ears.

As a result of the Academy Awards airing on Sunday night, Showtime opted to put “The Return,” the next new episode, available to subscribers. It’s a move similar to what HBO is doing with their lineup of Big Little Lies, Girls, and Crashing, and it’s absolutely a moves that makes some sense. It’s smart, savvy, and it helps to make sure that these shows remain in conversation. Even if they won’t be relevant on Sunday night, everyone will be caught up — not only that, but reviewers will have the chance to get articles together even if they don’t have advance copies.

Ultimately, consider the move a stroke of goodwill for everyone who has Showtime streaming or on the app. They recognize that their subscribers pay for the service, and they work directly for them more than cable networks do their own viewers. They’ve got a middleman that is otherwise known as advertisers who they have to try and cater to.

Just in case you don’t have the network and you just want to watch a sneak peek for this episode, we’ve got that for you below! This clip features Peter Quinn front and center, and it does make you continue wondering about his state of recovery in the aftermath of all that transpired at the end of this past episode. This was the story that effectively showed the aggressiveness of the media, the danger Carrie Mathison is in, and that Quinn’s probably not the world’s best babysitter for Franny. To be fair, we figure most people knew that already.

Just in case this preview still isn’t enough for you, there’s another one that you can check out over at the link here. There will be some more coverage of the show and the future of season 6 in the coming days.
