Reign season 4, episode 4 preview: Can Mary trust Lord Darnley?

Reign -

Going into Reign season 4, episode 4, trust issues are going to be a key subject of conversation. Mary’s starting to get more and more power, but at the same time facing more and more questions. For example, trust. This is something she’s struggled to deal with for most of the season, and also most of her reign at the same time. Anytime that you’re someone with a tremendous amount of power, you HAVE to expect that there are people aplenty who are going to be gunning for you. At this point in time, it’s almost a given.

For Adelaide Kane’s character in particular, one of the big threats that she will have to watch out for is none other than Lord Darnley, a character who is out to win her heart.

Synopsis – “When Lord Darnley (Will Kemp) surprises Mary (Adelaide Kane) with a visit in Scotland, Mary sees a glimmer of a union that could be more than just political. Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) fights to gain allies in her favor and Catherine (Megan Follows) must work to get Claude (Rose Williams) back on track by finding her a new husband.”

This episode is going to be obviously an important political one, mostly because you have Elizabeth doing everything that she can in order to find her power and get some more people to rally to her side. The Lord Darnley story is going to also be a big one just because it could determine the future for Mary and then some.

Promo – Who would’ve thought that there would be any lightness in here at all, given everything that the show’s been giving you as of late? It’s crazy in so many ways, but the show manages to figure out a way to include some of that even still. This is a show with many layers, after all.
