There are a couple of different things that we really like and appreciate already about the next new episode of “Sleepy Hollow,” and a lot of that begins with the title: “Sick Burn.” It’s silly, but that’s also kind of why we like it. Also, there’s a big case coming up in the episode that will revolve around an internet superstar who is bringing a wide array of different stuff to the table — including apparently a mysterious disease that starts to spread courtesy of a viral video.
As for how in the world that is even possible, that’s a perfectly good question — the only answer that we can offer is that this is “Sleepy Hollow” and THINGS HAPPEN. The majority of them are not going to be things that you like. Instead, they’ll be all bloody and sad and full of despair more often than not … and yet occasionally funny.
Synopsis – “When internet sensation Logan Macdonald comes to town, a supernatural infection hits, via a viral video. Meanwhile, Molly has a frightening vision that could predict a bleak future. Can the team cure the curse before it takes over town?”
Promo – While we’re dealing with some serious business here, the video is all sorts of HILARIOUS mostly because of Ichabod Crane standing up and telling everyone to “get off their mobile phones” as quickly as possible. Really, we could just listen to Tom Mison say the word “mobile” a million times over and be a pretty happen man.
Beyond this particular storyline, Molly’s vision could end up being the part of the show’s long-term future … or at least however much we’re going to see over the next few episodes. The viral-video story feels a little bit like “The Ring” meets “The Walking Dead.” As for the rest of the season, let’s just how that the show steps things up and does something exciting! There are only a few more episodes to go, so let’s hope that there are some big twists that excite the fan base and get some more people excited.
