NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 6, episode 8 preview: ‘Chuck’ alum Vik Sahay guest-stars!

Grimm -Any time that a former star of “Chuck” guest-stars somewhere, we feel like it’s one of our responsibilities to bellow the news out for all to hear — mostly because we loved the show, and of course we want to root for many of the actors who were a part of it to get to move on and do a wide array of other projects.

This brings us to the next new episode of “Grimm” airing in one week’s time, which carries with it the title of “The Son Also Rises.” This marks a chance to see Vik Sahay on the show — we don’t have too many details about the part, beyond the fact that he will be playing the part of Dr. Sanji Raju. You knew him from “Chuck” as Lester Patel, Nerd Herd member extraordinaire and one half of “Jeffster” arguably the greatest singing duo in the history of … well, history. Since that show, he’s also appeared on “Preacher,” “NCIS,” and the most-recent edition of “The X-Files.” In other words, he’s gotten to do some really cool stuff.

Now, let’s move the story forward so that some of you who are here for “Grimm” scoop get a pretty good sense as to precisely what’s coming up story-wise.

Synopsis – “Deadly attacks on a team of scientists lead Nick (David Giuntoli), Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) on an investigation unlike any they have had before. Meanwhile, as the research continues into the origins of the cloth, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) learn that Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) is still feeling the after effects of the death grip. Elsewhere, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) reaches out to an old friend to get answers to the origins of the symbols drawn by Diana.”

We are starting to get a sense after reading something like this that we’re watching a show that is very much in the midst of “building towards the end” mode. We’re not watching it stall out, and we’re hopefully going to continue to see it built towards an awesome, epic series finale that answers some questions — and maybe raises new ones, given that this is “Grimm” and the biggest shocker of all would be if they actually resolve everything.
