‘Top Chef: Charleston’: Did Brooke Williamson or Casey Thompson win ‘Last Chance Kitchen’?

Top Chef

Tonight, we saw the contestants on “Top Chef: Charleston” actually leave South Carolina in order to go to Mexico, but we certainly knew ahead of time that they weren’t going to be alone. The remaining participants would be joined by one more person, and it’s someone who managed to get by winning the final showdown on “Last Chance Kitchen.”

In the final part of the web show, three-time contestant Casey Thompson took on two-timer Brooke Williamson to re-enter the contest. We thought going into the finale of “Last Chance Kitchen” that Brooke had the edge, given that she was a dominant chef for most of the season. Also, we do think that there’s something fun about her being able to make it to the finale and possibly win after Kristin did this during her season.

In the end … it was Brooke who came back to the competition! After her shocking elimination, this is her chance to get redemption, and to get it rather quickly. With her back we do think that she’s got an enormous shot at winning the competition. Specifically, we do think that a showdown between her and Sheldon Simeon could be a fantastic battle of two chefs who are both former finalists, and each have performed incredibly well since the start of the season. In the end, though, every person left has done a really great job; John in particular is a guy who’s evolved significantly since he was on the show the first time out. He’s already made it much further than he did the first go-around.

Do you think that the right chef managed to make it through to Mexico? Be sure to share in the comments, and be sure to come back soon to this link if you do want to get some other news when it comes to the show.

We’ll be back at some point soon to discuss everything that happened over tonight’s episode in full — but for now, congratulations for Brooke on making it back! Given that she was our preseason winner back, there is a certain amount of bias that comes in rooting for her. (Photo: Bravo.)
