‘Big Brother Canada 5’ premiere date officially revealed
Fans of “Big Brother Canada,” we come bearing good news — some of the first official premiere-date scoop for season 5!
Global confirmed early Wednesday morning that the latest season of the hit reality show is going to launch on Wednesday, March 15 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and that this year it’s going to air Thursdays at 8:00 and then also Mondays at 9:00. The final airing is a change from the past several years, but this is a show that does tend to be tossed around a bit schedule-wise since the Canadian broadcaster knows that it’s going to generate some big ratings no matter when it airs.
One thing that is different is that there is no news on the future of the “Big Brother Canada Side Show” that previously aired on Slice and featured dome discussion with the most-recent houseguest. What Global announced, presumably instead of the Side Show, is that you’re going to get a chance to see a Facebook Live aftershow following the evictions on Thursday night entitled “After the Eviction Live.” We’re sure that people out there will SPECULATE AWAY as to whether or not this means that there are returning players coming this season, but we don’t necessarily view it as such since they could always find new co-hosts for the “Side Show” if one of the participants from the first time around gets into the game.
This season of “Big Brother Canada” of course is the subject of a million or so rumors already, and while we’ve been paying attention to the majority of them, we also haven’t taken too much stock in them, either. After all, there are always a billion or so different rumors that are floating around out there, and the worst thing is to get excited about a twist via some scuttlebutt, only to find out later that the rumor isn’t true.
