‘The Young Pope’ episode 10 (finale) spoilers: The story ends for Jude Law, cast

The Young Pope -

For much of season 1 of “The Young Pope,” what we ended up seeing was the slow evolution of a man who was tasked with one of the most important jobs in the entire world. He had to find a way to unite much of a religion behind him, even though there were many who were not inclined to do so for so many different reasons, whether it be his age or his nationality. He tackled scandals, and tried to do his best to navigate his faith into the future.

On Monday night (remember, HBO is really burning through most of this first season to make way for “Big Little Lies”), we’re going to be seeing the culmination of the entire story with an hour of television that will give us a sense of where everyone stands, and what this particular Pope feels is the right course of action for the church once more. This is not a show that focuses on episode titles, so let’s move ahead to focusing on the official description.

Synopsis – “Reunited with a changed Gutierrez (Javier Camara) at the Vatican, the pope (Jude Law) considers an appropriate course of action regarding Archbishop Kurtwell (Guy Boyd). Father Tomasso (Marcello Romolo) gets a promotion, while Sister Mary (Diane Keaton) takes on a new role. The prospect of a reconciliation leads the young pope to make an unexpected change of travel plans – and policy.”

One thing that we can tell you is that there is no reason to worry about there being a second season of the show — it’s already been confirmed to be happening. It’s not a show that HBO produces by itself, so it’s got a little bit of a different path and a future than ones like “Westworld” and “Game of Thrones.” Still, we advise you to enjoy every second of tomorrow’s episode if you are a fan, given that we could be waiting until 2018 for any further episodes of this story.
