‘Castle’ alum Nathan Fillion, ‘Walking Dead’ alum Steven Yeun reportedly netting pilot offers

We’re now in the thick of what we like to call Pilot Season, and what’s important about that mostly is that this is the time when we start to see many actors courted for almost any project under the sun.

Who are some of the big names? Per The Hollywood Reporter, some of the people being most discussed include the following…

Nathan Fillion – One season removed from “Castle,” the actor is getting attention for both comedy and drama pilots. Given the amount of money that he made on “Castle” and also his appearance schedule, he’s probably not going to be in a hurry to take another project on unless it’s the right fit.

Steven Yeun and Michael Cudlitz – You can argue the same think about both “Walking Dead” stars, who are coveted at conventions all over the world. With that said, it would be nice if they were able to lock in a new project sooner rather than later — while Glenn and Abraham were both big parts of that show, they weren’t necessarily the leads and they now have that sort of upside. Specifically, we’d love to see Yeun do something that shows off his comedic chops.

Lizzie Caplan – Fresh off of “Masters of Sex,” we could see her being offered do anything that she wants from comedy to drama. She could hold out for a premium-cable project, given that this medium has worked so well for her already.

Sasha Alexander – Will she return to TV less than a year after “Rizzoli & Isles”? That remains to be seen, but we could see her doing a heavier drama after doing two shows in a row (the second being “NCIS”) with some lighter elements to them.

Lauren Graham – Given that she’s got two iconic series in “Gilmore Girls” and “Parenthood” under her belt, she’s going to get offers. The debate comes in which or not they meet what she’s looking for.

Patrick Dempsey – He’s already shown patience since leaving “Grey’s Anatomy,” but since he’s started to back off of racing to spend more time with his family, he may find it appealing to take on a show (possibly a sitcom?) with a lighter schedule that allows him to stay firmly located in Los Angeles.
