‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ preview: Who should make it to finale?

Logo -Tonight’s new episode of “The Celebrity Apprentice” is easily going to be the one with the most at stake. There are only two more nights for the show to go, and by the end of it, we will have a chance to see precisely who Arnold Schwarzenegger names as his champion.

Over the course of the next new episode, you’re going to see the remaining four contenders have a final task, one that will narrow the field down from four to two; from there, we’ll hear about the final task for the first time, and the story will progress from there into a place where the winner will be crowned at the end of next week’s episode. The final two will have help from their follow contestants, which they may need given that these tasks are typically difficult undertakings.

So where do the final four stand at present? Let’s do our best to rank them in terms of performance to date.

4. Boy George – He’s last on the list mostly because he hasn’t been the Project Manager since the very first week of the show, and to go along with that, is the only person left who missed a task for an outside commitment.

3. Laila Ali – She’s also only been PM once, and there are times in which she’s really disappeared in terms of being a key contributor to the season.

2. Brooke Burke – Other than the Great David Charvet incident, she’s got a pretty sterling reputation this season. She’s won both of her tasks as PM, and she’s shown a great ability to position herself so that even when she’s tasked with something important, there is always someone else she can throw under the bus to be fired.

1. Matt Iseman – The “American Ninja Warrior” host has to date been consistently strong in most of the challenges (he’s won the two that he was PM for), and more so than just that, he’s barely been criticized for anything other than chicken wings during a Trident commercial. He may not be the best fundraiser on the planet, but he’s got so many other strengths that it feels easy to imagine him winning.

For most of the season, this show’s remained in a tough place. Detractors of Donald Trump have vowed not to watch over his presence as an executive producer, while at the same time Trump has bashed the show and its ratings enough to convince his supporters from watching. There’s almost no clear audience for the show anymore. We’re watching it just for the sake of entertainment, especially since none of the participants onscreen have anything to do with the nonsense going on away from it at all.
