‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6: Is a Zelena episode coming up?
To us, the ideal version of “Once Upon a Time” is one that features opportunities for all of the main cast members to shine, whether it be Emma, Regina, Hook, Snow, or anyone else. Therefore, the time seems right that Rebecca Mader gets something more to do on the show! Zelena’s been fairly quiet so far this season other than being the subject of great torment from the Evil Queen, and it would be nice to know more about where the show is planning to go with her.
In a new post on Twitter, show executive producer Adam Horowitz confirmed that “When Bluebirds Fly” is going to be the title for the 18th new episode of the show. Even a casual fan of “The Wizard of Oz” is likely familiar with this lyric as it relates to the song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” so there’s an easy assumption to make that Zelena will get a chance to take center stage in the hour.
As for what we’d like to see from her, how about a chance to see her be a hero, or how about just getting to see her alongside some characters she doesn’t get to work with all of the time? It seems a little off at this point to make her into a villain again, mostly because that’s off-brand for what the show is and the message that they’re trying to reinforce about heroes and their capacity to change. The only argument you can make here is that this is some sort of a hiccup that causes her to realize further that being bad is just not the sort of person that she is anymore.
What do you think about the title, and what do you want to see from Zelena in the second half of “Once Upon a Time” this season? Share below! As a reminder, the show is returning to ABC with new episodes starting on Sunday, March 5.
