‘Lethal Weapon’ episode 14 preview: ‘The Murtaugh File’ and a turning of the tide

Let’s go ahead and get some of the bad news out of the way when it comes to this “Lethal Weapon” article: There is no new episode of the show coming on Fox next week. We’re going to be on a little bit of a hiatus, but when the show does return, it’s going to be with an episode entitled “The Murtaugh File” on February 8. Let’s just say that this one is going to be critical to the remainder of the series, since we’re going to see all of the characters learning a little bit more about each other. There’s a pretty good reason why this episode is airing in February; this is the time in which networks like to unleash some of the biggest stories.

Whatever happens here one way or another, we have a feeling that Murtaugh and Riggs’ relationship will end up being at the center of it.

Synopsis – “A brutal car crash reveals that Cahill is the target of a murderous stalker, causing Riggs and Murtaugh to turn the tables and start asking her questions for a change. Meanwhile, after finding Murtaugh’s file in Cahill’s office, Riggs becomes obsessed with finding out about his past as Roger and Trish reel over their daughter’s newfound fake ID.”

Will there be some resolution on all fronts by the end of the episode? You have to hope so, but the questions about Murtaugh’s past could easily end up overwhelming just about everything else.

Promo – This focuses almost entirely on the stalker plot and the sheer amount of danger that is associated with it. Also, it makes it very much clear that there is not another new episode for two weeks, so you can’t be nearly as upset when you turn up next week hoping to see something further on the air when it comes to the show.
