Stars from ‘This Is Us,’ ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ ‘The Flash,’ and more help wrap up Women’s March

Women's March -At the start of the day, we wrote a piece discussing the vast number of celebrities who were taking part in the Women’s March all across the world. Now that we’re nearing the end of the day, it feels like the perfect time to circle back and look at some more people who were taking part in places from Washington DC to Los Angeles.

From the hard news side of things, one of the big surprises to come out of the March was the sole fact that roughly 750,000 people were estimated to be at the one in California, exponentially more than anyone expected. We’ve got some photos for you below, but such people as Mandy Moore (“This Is Us“), Melissa Rauch (“The Big Bang Theory”), Miley Cyrus (“The Voice”), and many more had a chance to take part in the event. Even 15-year old “Girl Meets World” star Rowan Blanchard also had her voice heard courtesy of a speech in the city.

Meanwhile, in Washington “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi took part in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper discussing the March, and even in Canada we had a chance to see some people such as Danielle Panabaker and Caity Lotz from “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow” take part in a March in Vancouver, where their show films. The causes at the center of the March are some that have international ramifications, and we discussed earlier events that were taking place in London and Scotland.

We never try to get too political on the site, but when you’ve got so many different people, whether they be in the TV industry or not, taking part in a singular event, it is completely impossible to ignore. It remains to be seen precisely what the long-term impact of the event will be, but it has potential to be in the history books for many years to come.
