‘Chicago Med’ season 2, episode 12 preview: Return date for ‘Mirror Mirror’

Tonight, “Chicago Med” is airing its last episode for the month of January in “Graveyard Shift,” otherwise known as an episode that featured Dr. Rhodes operating on a panda. It certainly was one of the stranger episodes that the show’s given us over the past season and a half, but at the same time it was very entertaining. Also, the panda ended up being okay. We have a feeling that if there was a different result, we probably would not be anywhere near as high on it.

So what’s coming up next for the show? Well, you’re going to be waiting a tad longer than usual. The next new episode is entitled “Mirror Mirror,” and this one is going to air come Thursday, February 2. There’s going to be a lot that is uncovered in the hour, and not just when it comes to the patients — the doctors themselves are going to be learning a good bit about each other in the process of what they go through, as well.

Synopsis – “Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) treat a teenage girl with a rapidly changing set of symptoms that has everyone perplexed. Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) and medical student Jeff Clarke (guest star Jeff Hephner) encounter a 19 year-old tough guy who is brought into the hospital in severe distress. Once they establish the cause of the pain, the situation quickly turns dangerous and a resolved Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo) does her best to help. Elsewhere, Dr. Latham (guest star Ato Essandoh) makes a big admission to Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) while Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) must deal with a difficult case that is further complicated by Dr. Stohl (guest star Eddie Jemison), who has a camera crew following him around to shoot a promotional video spotlighting the hospital.”

In some ways, it’s interesting that we are getting another story soon about a documentary crew — after all, it was a mere matter of days ago when “Chicago Fire” had a story about Otis trying to make a PSA for the Fire Department.
