‘Blindspot’ season 2 spoilers: Jaimie Alexander teases big character death

Jane -Given that “Blindspot” is a show that does deliver many big surprises, can you really be altogether shocked to learn that there could be something particularly stunning coming later this season? We wish we weren’t talking about it in some ways, but we are: The show is going to be losing an important character by the time we make it to the finale.

For those of you who are looking for specifics, there really aren’t many. What we can offer you for now is the following quote, which star Jaimie Alexander uttered in a new piece from TV Guide:

“There is a very shocking death that’s coming up that I just read last week that I didn’t know was going to happen … It’s very sad.”

In debating who is in the greatest amount of danger, let’s just say that there are a wide array of candidates. Weller’s been protected somewhat so far by Shepherd, given the two have some sort of mysterious connection. What happens in the event that this changes? Meanwhile, you always have to worry about people like Reade and Tasha, and given that people like Nas and Roman are both new to the show this year, you of course have to worry about their own status as we press on.

Could someone like Jane actually be killed off? We do think that in theory, anything is possible — but we doubt this particular thing happening, given that Alexander’s character and all of her tattoos are such an integral part of the series. The only other person we feel could be somewhat safe at the moment is Patterson, if for no other reason than that the show just came close to killing her off, and it would be strange to see them dipping back into this so soon.

The show is currently on hiatus for a couple of weeks, but rest assured — we will share plenty more in the way of information over the coming days.
