‘Star’ episode 5 preview: A look ahead at ‘New Voices’

Tonight, Fox debuted its latest episode of “Star,” and while the ratings for the show at the moment still are not exactly gangbusters, at the same exact time this is a show that is doing a lot of interesting stuff. It’s telling bold, daring stories, and is doing its best to be the underdog story so many people hoped that it would be from the moment that it was first announced.

Do you want a few more details regarding what is coming up next? Well, let’s just say that we’ve got that for you and then some below. Things are getting more and more intense now because of a local competition, and the pressure is going to be on for the girls to deliver.

Synopsis – “After getting a glimpse of their local competition, tensions rise between the three girls as they work on revamping their style. Simone discovers old tapes of her mother’s, but Carlotta wants nothing to do with them – and she isn’t the only one who feels that way. Meanwhile, Star puts her new relationship in jeopardy and Jahil finds himself in a sticky situation of his own.”

If they can dominate the stage, there’s a good chance that the girls are going to get a chance to jump forward in their career. Unfortunately, the tricky thing about this show is that anytime you see them take a step or two forward, you end up seeing ways in which the world pushes them a step back. There’s going to be a presence of enormous danger moving forward, especially since a murder storyline could shake up the entire world as we know it.

Probably the best thing that we can tell many of you at the moment who are fans of this show is simply the fact that there are still so many stories to be told here. If you think things are crazy so far, it’s only going to build outward from here.
