‘Celebrity Big Brother 19’ proves that Kim Woodburn is the fun police

CBB -

Let’s go ahead and raise an important question at the start of this particular “Celebrity Big Brother” article: Why is Kim Woodburn on this show? Couldn’t the producers find other people to replace Ray J or Brandon Block in the cast?

While we effectively only had a few minutes of her during Saturday’s broadcast (the first half or so of it was spent recapping the time before the double-elimination from the house), the final thirty minutes did feature a good bit of the newcomers, which included Kim and also Chloe Ferry of “Geordie Shore.” Let’s be real here — Chloe provided exactly what the producers were probably hoping for in about a single day’s time. She was loud, she was crazy, and she wasn’t afraid to be a little risque. This show is not a trip to the opera; it’s more akin to a trip to the madhouse.

First, Kim put on her fun-police siren after Chloe splashed her when she was in the hot tub, wearing basically an ensemble that would never be allowed on any North American show ever. She had a reason to be upset over it, but she took it to about 20 by complaining CONSTANTLY about it and talking about Chloe is the most terrible person ever. Has she ever seen this show? Does she not just understand precisely what happened with Austin? These are people who can punish you! You have to be likable, since otherwise you’ll get screwed over. Even if you hate every other person and think they’re a living, breathing succubus, at the same time you gotta grin and bear it. This is not something Kim can do.

After all, we later saw Kim get into it with Jessica Cunningham, mostly saying that she doesn’t like her — she realized that it wasn’t a nice thing to say. In other words, she did the equivalent of saying “no offense, you suck” to them.

Maybe Kim is bringing something to the show given that fact that we are writing about her. James Cosmo at the moment may as well be the ghost of Christmas present. It’s just that for us, stick-in-the-mud behavior is not “Big Brother.” Kim will probably be gone within a week or so, and with that there may not be any reason to spend more time on her.
