‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 13 preview: Jamie, Eddie, and a double date

Blue Bloods season 7“The One That Got Away” is the title for the next new episode of “Blue Bloods,” and when we first saw that spelled out, there was a part of us that just thought immediately of the Katy Perry song. That’s probably not what the next new episode’s going to be about in the slightest.

For those of you who are rooting for the Jamie / Eddie relationship, we do at the very least know that the two of them are going to be involved in a case that seemingly comes out of nowhere … while they are on a double date. (Some of the other details about this story may distress you.)

Synopsis – “When diplomatic immunity complicates a child abuse case for Danny and Baez, Frank intervenes, despite not having jurisdiction on the case. Also, a robbery occurs while Eddie and Jamie are on a double date with Eddie’s boyfriend and his sister, and they are forced to step in.”

Hey, remember what we’ve been saying over the past few weeks: There was never any guarantee that getting these two characters together was going to be easy. We still do think that it will happen, but this is the sort of thing that may take time. It’s almost as though the two of them are trying to delay the inevitable, mostly because they realize some of the obvious complications that could come out of the two of them getting together. They even saw some of that tonight with the two other police officers fighting. Yet, the attraction is still clearly there.

As for the other main component of this story, Frank getting involved in a case that is outside of his bounds could end up having some interesting complications, even if it’s not entirely clear just what these consequences could be just yet.

What do you expect to see on the next new “Blue Bloods” episode? Let us know in the comments.
