‘Better Call Saul’ season 3 teaser: Jimmy McGill picks his representation

Better Call Saul season 3With the third season of “Better Call Saul” premiering on AMC later this year, the network continues to unspool a few teasers here and there. The latest one, entitled “Booked,” can be seen below.

The focus of this teaser is simply all about Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) walking into the police station in handcuffs. We saw the character getting his mugshot photo taken in a previous teaser), so this predicament is no surprise. The big moment this time around is Jimmy claiming that he’s going to represent himself — given that he believes himself to be a pretty darn good lawyer, that’s no surprise there. Then again, if he got arrested for doing something shady, couldn’t you make a case for him trying to bring in Kim Wexler? She may be able to help him show a more sympathetic side to the court.

One person Jimmy certainly won’t be looking to get help from is his brother Chuck — after all, he could be a reason why he’s in cuffs in the first place.

This teaser caps off a tremendous week for all things “Better Call Saul,” given the Los Pollos Hermanos commercial earlier this week that seemingly confirmed the return of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) to the franchise after some time on “Breaking Bad.” Just as we’re seeing Jimmy’s slow transition into Saul Goodman, we will get a chance to see more of the earlier days of Gus, one of the biggest criminal kingpins in the greater Albuquerque area prior to Walter White’s rise to prominence.

There’s still no official premiere date beyond this spring, but as soon as we’ve got some more news to report, we’ll have it for you.
