‘Gotham’ season 3 spoilers: On ‘The Gentle Art of Making Enemies’

Gotham -The third season of “Gotham” is certainly doing some rather-quirky stuff right now in terms of its scheduling. Fox is scheduling three episodes over the course of this month, and then it’s going to be on hiatus for a couple of months and beyond while Fox puts “24: Legacy” on the air for a little while.

The last episode in January before the hiatus is entitled “The Gentle Art of Making Enemies,” and chaos is a good way to describe it. We don’t want to give anything too spoilery away right now, but let’s just say that a terrifying villain is going to be unleashing carnage in the streets of the city … and they have some specific targets in mind. (Specifically, let’s just say that a couple of major characters are in danger.)

As for what else is coming up in this episode, you’re going to see things come to a head when it comes to Nygma and Penguin. As of late, we’ve seen Ed make an arrangement with Barbara in order to take down the Penguin and take over the city … but will this arrangement last? Within the world of this show, we’ve certainly come to know that almost everything is fluid.

Finally, this episode is also going to feature one of the first appearances of “Dexter” alum James Remar as Jim Gordon’s uncle Frank. It’s not entirely clear as to the reason for his presence at this time, but we’re excited to learn a little bit more about his family history. For so much of the show, we considered the show to be such a lone wolf. Getting to see another dimension of who he is and where he came from is definitely something to be excited about.

Hopefully, this episode also gives us some sort of cliffhanger as to where the show is going to be going in the final arc of the season. The show’s managed to keep things pretty hush-hush when it comes to that.
