Golden Globes 2017: Where to watch, live stream red-carpet pre-show

Globes -

Tonight on NBC, the Golden Globes will finally be here! We’ll have a chance to see one of Hollywood’s most glamorous awards shows, and also a personal favorite just because you get so many people in one room from various walks of entertainment and give them plenty to drink. More often than not, there are some hijinks that ensue as a result of that.

As for where to watch, the aforementioned network is really the only authorized place we recommend. You can stream it online trough the NBC website or app, provided that you can validate your cable subscription.

Now, in regards to the red-carpet pre-show, there are several different places you can go. For example, E! will be doing their annual pre-show coverage at 4:00 p.m. Eastern (1:00 p.m. Pacific) leading up to the beginning of the show, and they’ll also have some post-show coverage of the after-parties and more once it comes to a conclusion. That’s probably the most extensive source of coverage that is out there.

Meanwhile, the Globes themselves are going to have a free red-carpet live stream (see the Twitter embed below) that gives you a chance to watch some of the arrivals and be a part of the experience no matter where you are. We recommend checking that out over trying to navigate your way through other live streams or unauthorized providers that are out there. This stream will begin at around 6:00 p.m. Eastern or 3:00 p.m. Pacific.

We anticipate the show tonight being a lively affair, given that host Jimmy Fallon is planning an elaborate pre-show number featuring many of the nominees and other familiar faces. From there, we also imagine there will be plenty of funny moments throughout — plus the results of all of the categories.
