‘Better Call Saul’ season 3 promo sees Jimmy slip to new low

The third season of “Better Call Saul” is going to be premiering on AMC at some point in the spring (yes, that is still an insane period of time away), and to try to make the wait a little shorter, the fine folks over at AMC have instilled quite a gift in the form of the latest promo!

Here’s the bad news — the promo is even shorter than it looks when you first load up the building. The only thing you really get from this is Jimmy McGill getting his mugshot taken before the network reminds you that Jimmy is both a criminal and a lawyer. Slippin’ Jimmy is back more than ever — though to be fair, he may be getting closer to actually becoming Saul Goodman as a whole.

In watching this promo, we would say that we do actually have more of an idea than we ever have before in terms of why Jimmy would end up becoming Saul, otherwise known as the man is in “Breaking Bad.” If he gets arrested, odds are that it is going to be very difficult for him to be able to get work anyone. Creating a new persona, and a guy with a habit of doing very seedy stuff, is a way to restart his career, while appealing to a certain clientele. We have a hard time thinking that brother Chuck would agree with this way of doing business, but let’s be honest here: Chuck is not in agreement of anything Jimmy does. We’re starting to have a suspicion that Jimmy could save babies from a burning building and Chuck would think he was a horrible person for doing so.

As for Kim Wexler, we’re not entirely sure that she would want to stick around for this, either.
