‘The Voice UK’: ‘X Factor’ alum Max Vickers, roommate Mo, and Jason Jones audition (video)
The new season of “The Voice UK” is finally going to be premiering on ITV later today, so in better preparation of that very thing, we are here with some assorted sneak peeks regarding precisely what you can expect to see!
Let’s begin with some news — otherwise known as the one thing we don’t have a sneak peek for. Remember Max Vickers? He ironically made it to Judges’ Houses with Gary Barlow (now on “Voice UK” rival show “Let It Shine”) several years ago on another singing show in “The X Factor” — the point we’re trying to make here by and large is that there are way too many shows in this genre out there. How many of them do we really need?
Anyhow, he’s going to be back in the spotlight tonight, and he’s going to have a friend there with him! His roommate Mo — we don’t know if he will be identified with a last name on the show — is also trying out, and you can see his own audition below. It’s quite good! While we do think that there are some theatrics he can work on, at the same time there are some elements of a star that are present here with him.
Will he get a chair to turn? That’s the thing about these previews — neither one of them necessarily make that all that clear.
As for the second sneak peek that we’ve got for tonight’s show, we’re focusing on Jason Jones — and not the former correspondent of “The Daily Show” and star of “The Detour.” This guy is singing “Pillowtalk” by Zayn, a very difficult song to do but one that sounds awesome in the event that you get it right. Luckily, he does! This is the stronger of the two auditions, but he’s going to have to continue to prove himself as we move further in the competition — provided that he has a shot to get there.
