‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4, episode 2 preview: How will Crane, Jenny, and Diana move forward?

Sleepy -

Tonight, the fourth season of “Sleepy Hollow” premiered on Fox, and with that, the show had a chance to do something that they’ve had a rather hard time doing over the past several months: Move forward. The show lost Abbie, and unfortunately for them, the only way to prove to the audience that everything was going to be okay was to show them that everything is going to be okay. Sometimes, we know that to be easier said than done.

Now, we’ve seen the new iteration of the show with Diana and Washington DC, and while we do very much miss Abbie, at the same exact time we did find much of the same classic “Sleepy Hollow” entertainment in here. Next week’s new episode “In Plain Sight” is going to continue that, and at the same time open up Janina Gavankar’s character more to the supernatural world.

Synopsis – “After a big discovery, Crane and Jenny struggle with breaking some difficult news to Diana. Meanwhile, the team learns that there may be witchcraft involved in a new case. Can Crane find a way to tell Diana what he knows?”

We’re sure that we are far from the first person to make this sort of parallel, but there is almost a “Doctor Who” quality to this show right now. While we would say that Abbie is more than the average Companion, you still have this time-traveling hero who feels constantly like a stranger in a strange land. He has to get used to an ever-changing environment and figure out a way to survive — which isn’t always easy when you’re being threatened by monsters, demons, and a wide array of other stuff.

So long as the show continues to find the humor in the midst of the adventure, we’re going to be happy.
