‘Blue Bloods’ season 7 spoilers: Why is Frank in class?
For “Blue Bloods” fans, tonight is unfortunately yet another week without a new episode; however, at the same time there is some good news report in that the wait for new installments is almost over! The show will be returning to CBS with “Genetics” next week, and as a means to better prepare you for it now, we’ve got a first-look photo featuring none other than Frank Reagan.
What is Frank doing? It appears as though he’s sitting in front of a class while also checking something on his phone at the same time — maybe multitasking is one of the skills that you pick up on rather quickly after joining the force! It’s an unusual environment for the Commissioner, but (as with most things with this show) there is a clear reason for why he is there and what he is looking to accomplish.
Per CBS, the main pull of the Tom Selleck story in this episode revolves around him looking into potential NYPD cadets cheating on their psychological exams. Given that Frank is a man of action rather than the sort of guy who will delegate things off, he may choose to investigate the matter himself. Maybe this is him monitoring a test so that he can see precisely what is going on first-hand.
Regardless of what Frank is up to, he understands the purpose of these tests being right and what they mean both in terms of his officers and public perception. The police are being watched more than ever, and everyone who puts on that badge has to be up to snuff not only physically, but also mentally. If someone kills an innocent person on the job and it comes out that they were never qualified for it in the first place, who is going to be the target of the most criticism? You’re looking at him in that picture.
