‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Meet Michelle Ramkissoon, food truck owner and Nick Viall contender

On most seasons of “The Bachelor,” we feel like “food truck owner” would not be all that interesting in the annals of some of the job descriptions that we’ve seen on the show over the years. Yet, this season’s been relatively light in the strange-job department other than “aspiring dolphin trainer.” All of a sudden food truck owner suddenly stands out!

When it comes to background alone, Michelle Ramkissoon stands out. The question is whether or not she has the personality and the appeal on the show to match that, given that it is hard to tell when it comes to the information that is online.

Age – 24. She’s done a lot for her age, including working a number of jobs and attend the notable FIDM in Los Angeles. Therefore, she’s probably more mature than this shows.

Occupation – The food truck that Michelle specifically owns is called Main Squeeze, and it is located in the Los Angeles area. If this was in a different part of the country, we’re not sure that selling a wide array of lemonades and specialty cold drinks out of a truck would work. Yet, this is Los Angeles! It’s warn enough generally 95% of the year to enjoy something like this.

Location – Los Angeles, California. This is kind of a “go figure” on the location when you remember for a moment that this is where her truck is. It’s probably a good thing for her given that Nick’s also in the area — can he ride around in the truck with her?

Things to know – Michelle loves kayaking, “Harry Potter,” and seemingly all things “Sex and the City.” It also seems like she’s got a great sense of humor. Beyond all of this, the most notable thing is probably her entrepreneurial spirit — we feel like she could very easily jump over to “Shark Tank” after this show with the food truck if this doesn’t work! She does admittedly stand a lot to gain if she makes it far on the show, but we’re not saying that this is why she wanted to be on the show. We don’t necessarily get a “there for the wrong reasons” vibe from her, and there’s nothing wrong with trying to find love while also doing something to better yourself in another way.

How is she actually going to do? – She’s a total wild-card, largely because we don’t get a great sense of Michelle’s feelings towards Nick or towards romance in general through her bio. She’s not necessarily an enigma by any means, but we don’t really get as much of a sense from her about the person she is beyond her job and a few of her interests. We’ll see what happens when the show premieres starting on Monday.
